Acne Treatment

Acne, also known as pimples is a skin condition that occurs when your hair follicles become plugged with oil and dead skin cells. It often causes whiteheads, blackheads or pimples, and usually appears on the face, forehead, chest, upper back, and shoulders.

Acne is most common among teenagers, though it can affect people of all ages alike. Acne can be persistent and heal slowly, and when pimples begin to go away, new ones may seem to crop up.

Acne is not just a cosmetic nuisance but depending on its severity, acne can be painful, scar the skin, cause emotional distress, and affects your self-esteem.

The earlier you start treatment, the better the treatment outcomes. The most effective treatments are those that inhibit sebum production, limit bacterial growth, or encourage shedding of skin cells to unclog pores.
