What is Dermapen Microneedling?
Dermapen skin needling also known as micro-needling is one of the most innovative rejuvenation therapies available today for treating various skin problems.
As we age the production of the fibroblast cells that stimulate the growth of the collagen and elastin diminishes, which will result in sagging of the skin, appearing of wrinkles and fine line and loose skin.
Dermapen skin needling will create the micro-injuries which will ultimately trigger the growth of fibroblast cells that will stimulate the production of collagen resulting in plumper and smoother, younger-looking skin.
How does Dermapen micro-needling work?
Dermapen skin needling helps the skin to repair itself after it has encountered any physical damage like cuts, scars or any other physical damage. The device glides gently along the skin, penetrating the layers of the skin closest to the surface, of a depth of up to 2mm to create numerous tiny needle wounds.
The therapy encourages the body to respond through the creation of new collagen and elastin fibers. When an injury occurs, your skin will destroy the old, damaged tissue that causes acne scarring and wrinkles and will replace it with freshly produced collagen.
This treatment is best for all the skin types and tones, especially for the people who are facing a problem like acne scarring, wrinkling, fine lines, and dilated pores.
Although Dermapen skin needling treats the full face for skin rejuvenation, it is not restricted only to face; it can also treat the other areas of the body like the abdomen, legs, arms, and hands. It can safely treat all forms of scars like acne or surgery scars, abdominal scars, stretch marks, burn contracture scars and also the loose body skin.

What can I expect from the procedure?
The skin is cleaned and numbing cream may be applied to lessen discomfort. For better results, we use a collagen-stimulating product like Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin-C serum or skin lightener for pigmentation during the procedure. A small handheld pen-like device with a sterile, disposable tip with 12 tiny needles is then used to pierce the skin. Our needling pen’s multi-speed and adjustable needle depth allow needles to pierce the skin’s layer at 90 degrees and increase the absorption of products. After the treatment, soothing Vitamin-C serum or Hyaluronic acid are used to hydrate, heal and protect the skin
How many treatments do I need and how often?
Micro-needling can be safely repeated every 4-6 weeks until you achieve the desired results. For collagen induction, we recommend starting with 3 treatments, but with a minimum separation time of 4 to 6 weeks between treatments. For scar reduction, an average of 3 to 6 treatments is recommended. The number of treatments required will depend on how each individual responds to the treatments, and the extent of the damage at the beginning Micro-needling can be used on all skin parts of the body (neck, décolleté, arms, legs, etc). Most people will begin to see results after the very first appointment.
Post Treatment Care
A good skincare regime is vital for getting good results. That is why it’s important to keep the skin well hydrated and protected; it is therefore recommended that you use a day and night cream to repair and nourish your skin as well as a high SPF sunblock during the day to ensure you are protected against harmful UVA and UVB rays throughout the day.
